In this project, we are using a really cool dataset of videos gathered by attaching cameras to hats worn by infants and children, capturing their first person perspective on their early experiences. We are coding these videos to get a descriptive measure of the kinds of objects and events that children experience, and how they are talked about. In this project, you will help us annotate these videos, and learn about how we can use this data to build statistical and computational models of children’s knowledge development. If you are interested, please contact our lab manager Katherine Koch (kmkoch3@illinois.edu) with a short description of any relevant previous experience and interests, and a resume.
