Date
08/23/23

Industrial-Organizational Psychology PhD student Chu Chu recently received the Meredith P. Crawford Fellowship from the Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO). The HumRRO Meredith P. Crawford Fellowship is awarded annually to a graduate student in I/O Psychology or related doctoral programs who demonstrates exceptional research skills. The fellowship provides a stipend to the student to support finishing their dissertation.

Combining her passion for assessing and understanding person-vocation interest fit and producing applicable research, Chu Chu proposed her dissertation seeking to develop a reliable artificial intelligence career guidance chatbot prototype. The chatbot prototype will be available for future development of career guidance chatbots that can evaluate diverse work preferences, providing holistic yet efficient career guidance for workers from various SES backgrounds.

This is the 4th time that a UIUC Psychology IO graduate student has received the HumRRO fellowship since 2017.
